Dr Bui completed his ophthalmology residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute of the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2000. He received his M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco, in 1996. Dr Bui has been a clinical instructor at UCSF since 2001, instructing ophthalmology residents in microsurgery.
